“Loss is immeasurable, but so is the love left behind”
Funerals and celebrations of life are an opportunity for us to say goodbye, and I firmly believe that every element of a funeral ceremony should be personal and have a connection with those whom we are remembering.
I believe that any life lost is one worth remembering. Sometimes, saying goodbye has challenges but I will be there, every step of the way to help you feel at peace with your decisions and honour the memory of your loved ones in a respectful and appropriate way.
How much does it cost for a celebrant led funeral?
My fees are £220 for a funeral or celebration of life, this includes a family meeting and all the time required for me to write the ceremony as well as attending on the day.
Can we approach you if we haven’t spoken to a funeral director?
Of course, your funeral director will make recommendations for local celebrants but you are welcome to tell them if you already have someone in mind to conduct the ceremony.
Can we include religious readings and hymns in a non-religious setting?
Yes, many individuals feel that they have a faith, or believe in some element of afterlife but don’t feel completely comfortable with a funeral in a religious setting. I am not a humanist and therefore there is complete flexibility as to what can be included in a ceremony. I do not work off a template and every ceremony is completely unique to the individual we are celebrating.
Why should we choose you as our celebrant?
It’s important that you are able to connect with your celebrant, you have to be able to trust them and feel comfortable sharing the intimate details of your loved ones life. I am a creative and vibrant individual, whilst all funerals and life celebrations are centered around loss and inevitably there is great sadness, we have an opportunity to work together to create something that is a real credit to a special life.
